Suggested Application Timeline

While exact timelines may vary, most DPT applicants follow a general schedule:

  • 1-2 years before applying:  Complete prerequisite courses and begin observation hours
  • 6-12 months before applying: Research programs and prepare for the GRE (if required)
  • 3-6 months before applying: Begin using PTCAS, request transcripts, and ask for letters of recommendation
  • Application cycle (summer-fall): Submit application and monitor status
